Mental Health First Aid

Mental health is gaining increasing importance — including in the workplace. This is particularly true in the medical technology sector, where employees often face high demands and responsibilities. A sensitive and competent approach to mental health challenges is therefore essential.
The goal of this workshop series is to empower leaders and employees to recognize early signs of psychological distress among colleagues, respond appropriately, and offer professional support. The earlier help is provided, the sooner recovery can begin.

2. Deep-Dive Workshops (each 90 minutes)

Each workshop takes a closer look at a common mental health condition:

 

Depression
  • Symptoms and typical progression
  • Supporting affected individuals in everyday work life
  • Available support options and limits

Anxiety Disorders
  • Types of anxiety (e.g. social anxiety, panic disorder)
  • Impact on work behavior
  • Communication strategies and support options

Substance Abuse
  • Identifying problematic consumption behavior
  • Communicating sensitively about a taboo subject
  • Escalation levels and intervention strategies

Psychosis
  • What is psychosis? Symptoms and common misconceptions
  • First aid during acute psychotic episodes
  • Stabilization and referral to professional support

 


Methods Used in Deep-Dive Sessions: Case-based learning, small group work, reflection rounds, practical exercises (role plays, communication training)
